On Saturday, April 30th, GG&W associate Tenzin Dharlo volunteered at one of the largest in-person citizenship application assistance events (since the outbreak of COVID-19) hosted by CUNY Citizenship Now! and The New Americans Campaign.
The event was put together to assist people with completing USCIS form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Copies of the documents they need to send with their application are provided along with the pre-labeled mailing envelopes to post the completed packet to USCIS. In the seven hours of volunteering, Ms. Dharlo was able to guide and assist three applicants to prepare their applications.
As we remain optimistic and return to a level of normalcy, the goal of the event was to spread awareness and push green card holders to make strides towards becoming a U.S. Citizen. We thank Ms. Dharlo and GG&W hopes to attend more events in the future.
